The main attraction in Split is Diocletian's Palace, a third century Roman palace that served as (obviously) a palace for the emperor, but later, the inner walls of the town of Split. While it is only just over 200km, the bus is a 6.5hr trip so the 2hr saving by car was well worth it. The Dalmatian Coast was nothing like I have ever seen before. ... up on each other's trips. Walking off the boat we were welcomed with some sun and a nice walk along the harbour in what I have to say has been one of my favourite cities.
