But Erdobenye turns out to be such a rural idyll, & the late afternoon light & temperature so mellow that we abandon all ideas of more driving to Sarospatak. Our B & B also happens to be a small vineyard. Our hosts Ildiko & Peter are a charming young couple. They gave up their teaching jobs several years previously to run ...

... be a bit of a Gypsy relationship problem, according to my host. But all in all, it’s a nice and quiet town, but the real discovery is to be made in Slovakia’s natural beauty. Go outside and visit the nature if you’re ever in Slovakia!

And to finish, I just need to remind myself to thank Jan one day by inviting him back to my place. He was such a good host and took of his time to show me all around his country, and I hope someday I can do the same to him in ...
