... and then there was Shannon. She was actually the one of the first people I met here in Cordoba, and I remember I accidently called her by another name the day after I met her. That's definitely a mistake I haven't repeated!!! But lets see, a few groups of students ended up grouping together on the train since we were all headed towards the same destination. One word sums up the reason why Cadiz became such a popular destination amongst the ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain vneag... and Cameron Diaz in it. I hope they get a part! Lunch was interesting and kind of like eating in a Chinese restaurant as the plates just kept coming! After lunch we said goodbye to the sons and continued walking and finally ended up back at the ship but not before taking a rest in the Plaza DE Espana across from the ship. When we were there the park cat ladies came by and fed the wild cats who were pretty friendly. Great ending to a very nice day!
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... set up a little ladder so that the mice could drink the sherry out of a wine glass!

Then we went to the horse show. Very similar to what the Lippanzaner Stallions do. It was…an experience…but I don’t think I’ll ever go watch something like that again. But I can at least say that I've seen it.
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands big_red_truckWe got up really early (for us vacationers). It was about 8:15am. We decided we would drive 2 hours to a city called Jerez de la Frontera to see the famous dancing horses of Jerez. The tour guide said it was worth the drive... We arrived to another city. Not as big as Seville, but a city nonetheless. Shae was super excited to see the dancing horses. The show started at noon and lasted 1.5 hours. Shae lasted about 20 minutes - which was pretty good for her ...
Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain stacicheck... on top of Moorish towers…who went for water?!

Of course the Spanish would never use the word "Gibraltar" until you're practically under the famous rock. They’ve always been in a snit that the Brits never have it back. Driving down a causeway towards the backside of the Rock, we got to the checkpoint border. Traffic was backed w-a-y back waiting to get through; I got the impression ...
Arcos de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands thedicksons... farly uneasy to see a million of trains packed with dressed up, stoned and half-conscious people; they were shouting, dancing and staggering on the station, dashing towards the city centre. When our train finally arrived, delayed over 2 hours, it was stinking so much of sweat and alcohol that its windows were steamy and everything was sticky. I considered thanking God for the air-condition that helped to sort it out.

I was back home almost at midnight.
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands translucent... The streets are narrow and everyone is starting to get ready for Christmas--there were lots of decorations! Later that evening, there was a protest either pro- or anti-fascism...my guess was anti?? Let's hope so. Also, Cadiz has lots and lots of churches--lots! The one thing that I have notices about Spanish churches are there statues of the saints, Jesus and Mary. They are gorgeous, but the ones of Jesus are really graphic and makes you feel sorry for ...
Cádiz, Spain verow... lived longer than any of us ever will. I found a coffee shop that had an art exhibit about Cuba, and most of the funds it said were going to help the Cuban people. It was a cool, bohemian type of place. I walked along the city wall for a while, along the sea. I came to a pizza place and got a pizza. When the bartender asked if I wanted anything to drink, I responded, 'Una cerveca, por favor.' The worst thing I think as a tourist who has a pretty decent understanding of Spanish ...
Cadiz, Spain jsiker... very happy table about 10 minutes after that tasting, I can tell you that. The third tasting was the top selling brandy in Europe, which is made at this winery in Jerez. I took half a sip, thought I was going to die, and pushed my glass across the table. Not like I needed it after the Bristol cream anyways. After the winery, we were more than ready to head to the beach. Everyone was in their bikinis (including some of the boys... could have gone without seeing that) and ...
