Monday, 6/2/2014. Short trip to Mallorca and then off we were to Copenhagen. Here are a few shots from our plane.
I can see why the Brits love to come to this place as it is very beautiful and it's reputation as a party place is probably unfair as it has a lot more to distinguish itself than that. It's relaxed for the most part except in the main streets and there are little bazaars and courtyards everywhere with the usual street vendors but no one pesters you greatly. ... the city sightseeing tour. The first stop was right at the port side so we 'hopped' on! We saw some beautiful parts of Palma, including the Cathedral. Headed back to the ship about 3.30. It was nice and quiet as we were not sailing again until 8pm so most people were still off ...

We took the hop-on hop-off bus to the Sagrada Familia, a church which has been under construction for over a hundred years and probably has another hundred to go. The architect is long gone, but he left elaborate plans, and his work continues. He was inspired by nature, and you can see how elements in the church have been patterned after trees and plants. ... on the bus to get to the caves, and we saw some really beautiful scenery on the way. Lots of olive trees and almond trees. That's one of my favorite parts of traveling in Europe. Every country is unique. By the way, we were invited to come back to Palma for two weeks in December--one week to pick the almonds and one week to go to the beach. Sounds good to me!
