... from Zagreb to the coastal towns and B: use it as a base for a trip to Plitvice National Park. My contact, Daniella, met me at the residence and showed me around the room and given that she also runs a travel agency, gave me some information about Plitvice. Basically it meant that I would have had to catch a 2.5 hour bus at 8.30am on Monday and then leave Plitvice National Park at 5.30pm to come back, arriving pretty late and leaving not ...

Oh god, Croatia is amazing. I write from 3 hours into a 7 hour bus journey to Dubrovnik, with a stinking hangover. ---- Right I actually had to stop writing then in order to concentrate fully on not throwing up on the poor girl who had sat next to me on the bus. But, by the end everyone had woken up and the crowds were there (shoulder to shoulder). We ...

Today we had a bit of a lie in and woke at 9am to go and further explore Plitvice lakes. We took the more popular routes down level with the lakes which mainly go along the boardwalks. The scenery when up close to the waterfalls was beautiful despite the weather not being at its best. The major drawback of this route is that you are very much stuck in with the crowds. To get ...

... turned myself around somehow, when I came to the beach! There was a great view of some beautiful islands, and a yacht was sailing past, which looked very pretty. I worked out the way back after that, then when Darren was ready, we went back out and went to find somewhere for lunch. We stopped at a little fast food type place called Nanas, where we got a burger each which was pretty tasty, but so unhealthy! I got some wifi and skyped Tiana for a quick chat, then when we were ...
