... This hotel is much larger and more typical to the U.S. than our previous hotels. We just dropped off our bags and went for another two hour drive to Lasithiti Plateau. Lasithiti Plateau is located inland and at a much higher elevation than Heraklion and is a series of twenty tiny villages. Some of the buildings in the villages still have no roofs from bombings in the World War Two invasion of Crete. The villages are known ...

It was Friday night and while most of Greece maybe mired in financial crisis this section of Heraklion was doing just fine, thank you very ...

... fajitas and salad hit the spot and around 8pm, who should roll up in her taxi fresh from Paris but Tom's mom, Eva/Farmor. After some excited hugs and stories from the kids, Sue took Evie and Tyler back to the hotel to sleep while Eva and Tom sat and caught up. The room slept 4, but Evie, Sue, and Tom successfully shared the king sized bed while Tyler and Eva slept on twins in the other room. All in all, a successful travel day. Goodbye Turkey, Hello ...
