... very pleasant to ride along. We stopped along the way and had a swim in the crystal clear water. The temperature was a couple of degrees warmer than the ocean, so even more enjoyable. Half way through the cycle along one side of the lake the path ends, and you either have to cycle back to do the other side, or alternatively there is a clever local entrepreneur who runs a water taxi across the channel. 15 Kuna's (about ...

... shots... it was midday and honestly the thought of alcohol let alone the smell made me feel so sick but I pushed through the vodka and then unfortunately was very sick twice during lunch, I knew that it was going to be a rocky day ahead. (needless to say lots of water was consumed this day) we had a swim stop a few hours into the day and honestly ive never seen water so green & blue! didn't even care about my hair getting wet or my makeup getting ruined, swimming in ...

... thunder and big rolling waves has not given me any desire to be rescued in a life boat any time soon. There are passengers still being returned to this ship and I doubt we will be leaving here on time. The danger started in the taxi queue with arguments over who was first in line adding to the risk of being run over by a taxi that screamed to a holt to pick up people waiting. The taxi took us from the old town of Dubrovnik to the ship port which had a large queue also of ...

... it might rain soon. Tomorrow we leave at 6am for Hvar, another island nearby. Hvar is supposed to be a bit more cosmopolitan so hopefully even if these clouds stick around there will still be things to do. I'm trying to convince Mike we should rent a scooter to check out the island but he is hesitant and the whole place is hills and the scooters are only 50cc...apparently that means they have the engine of ...

... was lovely. Similiar in style to Dubrovnik, but smaller and somehow slightly more charming. There's a small marina, a cathedral or church, and other lovely buildings, and charming little alleyways offering lovely views of the ocean. The main entrance in to the town is Land Gate set in city walls, similiar to Dubrovnik.
