... made me feel like I belonged in the city. We then walked out of the Ploce gate to the walkway just above Banje beach and snapped a few photos of everyone down below. There were quite a few young kids jumping off of a wooden platform into the Adriatic. We then decided to head back to our apartment to pack. Packing was kind of sad because we knew that we would have to leave soon. The only upside was that we had picked up a yummy Ozusjko grapefruit radler ...

Today saw us leaving Dubrovnik for the island of Korbuk. We left Dubrovnik by bus at 11am and headed for a local bakery to purchase some lunch to eat lunch. We traveled some distance and saw beautiful scenery a long the way. From beach communities, to large vineyard districts, salt farms and mussel farms. We stopped at a small town for lunch. After dropping everything off in the hotel room and being quite surprised that the shower curtain was about 1.5 ft too short (oh no, time for me to worry), we headed back to the Stari Grad which of course had many small alleyways of stairs. ... was nice. We spent most of our time looking around the town and swimming at nearby beaches. Once again, they were rock beaches. I think I'm getting used to no sand! On our last day, we caught the bus to Lumbarda, which has the only sand beach on the island. After being dropped in a lane amongst grapevines, we followed the directions and eventually found the beach. It was lovely, but very hot! We had such a great day, that we missed the bus and had to taxi ...

... apparent that it was in fact, not a short cut, but i was hopelessly lost in a field full of goats. There was also a man made canal thing that was dried up so if the goats charged that was my refuge! I wasn't game to go back up the hill so kept trudging on in the heat (getting burned, out of water). I eventually came to a road and decided to go left. 3km's down there I got to Lumbarda, the next town over. I should have turned right cos I ended ...
