... when I’ve ridden past here on the bus to Sevilla, but I’ve never stopped to explore it.
Despite it being “oven time” I do manage to wander around the old town at the top of the hill and take my video clip in front of the beautiful cathedral at the very peak which can be seen from miles around. It looks a lot like the typical Latin American colonial era cathedral with deep red colors and simple but beautiful ...

... in the valley, the much older villages which they serve were built far up the hillsides, the reason I didn’t make it to Jimera Libre village from its train station. He gets three tries and if he can't do it is booed off and the bull is humanely killed . Also, if the President , the King or whoever is sitting in the Royal box deems the fight is too cruel, they have the power to call it off. All very gorey. Don't think I could watch. Several bullfighters have been killed in this bullring also, ...

The road to Ronda

... in to the center of the commercial area and it was not at all what we expected. We thought the town would be small like Mijas, but it's a good size city. We finally found the historic area (in the rain) after a few false starts.

We found the square honoring Ernest Hemingway, a beautiful church, the bullfighting ring (apparently the most famous bull fighters come from Ronda). There were horse drawn carriages and the biggest ducks ...
