... great expense. As I walked to Detlef's apartment I passed a pretty large brewery called Pfungstädter. It seems like every city has its own beer! The city isn't far away from castle ruins Frankenstein, inspiration for the book. Detlef also told me that the town has a store with one of Germany's largest selection of beer as well!

... our seats were the first row behind the wall separating cattle class and business class, which I had pre-ordered. This time, because of our rescheduling, we weren’t able to pre-book our seats and ended up a few rows back. Oh what luck! Connie ended up beside a woman that just wasn’t a happy camper and moved around in her seat constantly, banging into her and taking up well in excess of her own seat. Here we are, we made it to the airport. The CSJ Diersch's left a bit later than expected from home just as we discovered Chris' brand new shoes had a split in the top seam. Of course, Shoe Warehouse was closed today... Sandra had a bit of a meltdown trying to prompt us all to get to the airport waaaay too early. BTW, the rescue remedy gum....doesn't work.
Rachel and family were here waiting patiently. Tom was volunteered to take Benzer back to Nan's house. Thanks ...

... my case I was on Lufthansa flight from Chicago--so I would go to Baggage Claim belt number 1. [NOTE: even with all of the walking to get to the baggage claim, I arrived and had to wait perhaps another 10 minutes or so before any of the bags for my flight appeared on the beltway.]
