Buda.......peSHHHHHt- Those were basically the first words we heard in Budapest. We walked into the hostel and the owner/manager guy Alex (who rules by the way, and is my same age) sat us down, busted out a map and pen, then said Budapest like 7 times, but with his index finger against his lips emphasizing the shhhh pronunciation of the s in Budapest. We were like "Yeah, we get it. Relax." Next was goulash, but pronounced gooyash. Weird ...
Saturday and the Dancer
... Eva kindly drove us into Budapest, Hungary, tonight. It was a bit of a struggle to find our hotel as it is right in the centre of the city, but Thomas was able to maneuvere around and eventually found it.
Thanks to Thomas and Eva for their generosity and kind natures, taking us in for almost a whole week and showing us the sights! We will not forget their kindness.

As we sailed up the river all the lights started to come on ad the horizon was like a mixture of fairyland and a scene fom a mediaval time that has to be seen to be believed. Please plan our trip for us
... ready for bed, so we went outside to the Fishermans Bastion and fell in love all over again. It was lit up so beautifully we couldn't help but ooh and ahh. Then it was time to head to the metro station, so as my grandmother waited for me upstairs I went in search of a way to buy a ticket. My first thought as I plunged into the unknown of the hungarian underground was "oh goodness... everything is in hungarian".
