... the lagoon was more fun and with the gently rising steam, we didn't even see that many people. The lagoon is feed by the waste water from the power plant next door. Betsy tried the special silica mud face pack. We cleaned up and drove to the airport after filling the car with gas and dropping it at rental car return. We have checked in and should be in Seattle and then Portland later today. It was a great trip and was made extra special by the people we had the opportunity to share ...

... at all. When we turned the corner all I could see was these eerie white stones sticking out of the ground- in every direction all around the path we were walking on- it reminded me very much of a graveyard. Day one saw us collect our boat and sail out of port towards an Island that some locals had informed us would be holding a massive party! Steve, the eldest of the three on board, couldn't contain his excitement and was jumping around the boat like a monkey, stripping and diving overboard as we cleared the busy shipping lane at the ...

... whoop! Split is on the water front and its gorgeous. We spent our days in Split walking around exploring. We watched the sunset on the boardwalk one night. Hiked up to these caves in the side of the mountain, this was really cool and the hike was beautiful. The lady from our guest house told us there was great shopping in the city centre, so one afternoon we decided to check it out. When I heard city centre I just sort of assumed it was the downtown area. Well we were wrong ...
