That's fair enough but if the tables are in a piazza and the cafe HQ is on one side of the square, you can expect to be cross questioned as to your eligibility to use them.

... everyone does it - even locals. They just plunk their change in their hands and let the cashier do the work.

I don’t care if it’s oddly child-like to hold your hand out and have them count it for you. I like it. I have to say, I am grateful for all Croatian cashiers and their counting abilities. And collectively, we’ve embraced the change of change.

... there just seemed to be no hotels. I again went into the satnav and looked for another hotel and sure enough I found one that sounded good. Strange thing was it was saying the hotel was only 150m away but would take 5 minutes to get there. Anyway I pushed GO and off I went away around the city in all directions only for this stupid satnav to bring me right back into the exact same car park as i started from and plonk me about 150m further on!!
