No, ale szczescie nam dopisuje i deszczyk mija, nie zamieniajac sie w snieg.

I tak dojezdzamy do Gliwic, zamykajac koleczko!

Niewazne, kto wymyslil! Wazne, ze szczesliwie jestesmy na miejscu.
Kierujemy sie do Tihany, ktore znajduje sie na malym polwyspie na Balatonem.
Kazdy z nas ma jakies wspomnienia z tych miejsc: z blizszego lub dalszego dziecinstwa.
Pilotuje Marcin, dzieki ktoremu bezblednie trafiamy do celu.
Fajne lokum w wymarlym miasteczku znajdujemy bez trudu... jestesmy jedynymi ...

... to walk around a lake, cutting through farmer fields, containing a certain type of cows (I'm sure LP will correct me on the type), vineyards and along the coast to a church with a long walkway containing three crucifixes and the 14 stations of the cross.

The lake was immense and the brief swim felt like we were swimming in the sea.




Our first night was a bit of feast, we cooked in our wee cabin, washed down with a load of beers with an entire tub of icecream for second course (washed down with a bottle of sweet Tokaj (local) wie..We befriended a ...

... a mess in my (our) heads as well. Also little chores need doing on the van. In between, swimming, chilling and getting into the moment. Each of us for our own reasons.

One big thing that annoys us both is the fact that the fridge is not working! On electricity it does nothing (well the light is swithed on, but that’s it). On gas it gets a bit cold, but nothing good enough to save the cheese inside! Maybe this teaches us something ...

... a treacherous dirt road for 3 km. It soon turned into mud and was a real mess.

When we show up at our decided campsite they tell us it's $30 which is insane and 3 times what we've seen elsewhere. To finish our trial filled day we camped in a ditch.

The worst trial of all was that we wouldn't be able to make church tomorrow in Pecs as we didn't make it anywhere near as far as we needed to.

It's a sort of accidental spa town. There is a natural spring and baths/swimming pool but its very low key. But the weather was clear and sunny so the washing was done and drying by 11am. Tyre pressures were found to be a bit low too and the mudguard and compass were securely reattached. The town has a Turkish tower; a defensive tower built at this vital crossing to protect against the turks ...

... Afterwards we thought we`d have to walk 6km to Siofok, but (again, without even raising a thumb, we were just walking along the road) there stopped for us a nice man and took us to the town. We spent a couple of hours in Siofok, mostly laying down at a bench (me) or on the grass (Marcin), just next to the harbour. And then, in an early afternoon, we hopped on a ferry and went to the other side of the lake.

Tihany is a delightful little town with a beautiful abbey on the coast of the lake Balaton. (Peninsula).
There are plenty of litte souvenir shops and restaurants in thatched houses.
From the Abbey there is a beautiful view of the Lake. You can walk down to the ferry along ...

... dan de waarheid, zo helpe ons Maria. We zijn nu echt aan taart en koffie toe, vooral W loopt al sinds de vorige koffiestop te zeuren om een gebakje. Százéves derhalve. Konditorei (Cukrásdá) in Biedermeier stijl, annex mini-cukrásdá museum. Werkelijk fantastisch. Je waant je inderdaad terug in de tijd, de koffie en het gebak zijn lekker en het museum is voor ons precies van de juiste afmetingen. Klein, héél klein.
