Car enthusiasts, of which I am not one, would love this place as it features museums for both Porsche and Mercedes Benz and it is also the home of Bosch and the spark plug..The trip in from Baden Baden was punctuated all the way by vineyards and this region is famous for ts wine. ... the curious facts that guided the way, rather than the cars themselves, we headed across the border to France in search of a campground for the night.

Planning to stay close to Strasbourg, we again blindly trusted the Tom Tom and she screwed us over again, leading us to a paddock adjacent to the railway track, rather than a campground. Annoyed and with the weather again closing in, we tried for the next nearest site which was luckily just 20 minutes away. Welcome back to France ...
