... Mallorca was the first place we’ve been where it hasn’t rained while we’ve been touring although, we only missed the storm by a couple of hours – by nine o’clock it was wild and the sea was quite rough although in a ship this size, it doesn’t move around that much. <br><br>Pictures will have to follow after I unload the camera<br><br>More when we hit Tunis on Suzanne’s birthday.
Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain suzanne-normanAnd at long last we are on our way ... can't quite believe we are actually starting this journey after all the work, planning, talking .... And we know we've been to San Telmo many times before but this time it is different!! And so good to have Simon's old friends Max & Linsey onboard - after all they were really the people responsible for him ending up in Port d'Andratx to begin with.
St Elm, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain sharkita... br>We ended up going to a large club in the center of the city. It was probably the largest club that I've ever seen. This place was huge! I ended up dancing with the girls until about 4 am when I was beginning to get very sleepy and returned to the yacht. I didn’t bring my cell phone and when I got back the passarelle was raised up to prevent anyone from getting aboard. There is always a Duty Officer on duty and part of their job to welcome and ...
Palma, Balearic Islands, Spain and Canary Islands mylifesjourneyWe arrived in Cala de Calobra around 5:30. We anchored in the small bay and took a tender to shore. The little village has a small pier along one side of a steep hill and the village is crowded on the hillside raising between two much larger and steeper hills. The whole thing looks like some Hollywood set because of its idyllic setting on the small bay. There are several bars and restaurants where we got drinks and ate an early dinner.
sa Calobra, Balearic Islands, Spain mylifesjourney... cute to see. She was flirting back and he was laying on all the charm. I was cute to watch and what made it even cuter was they were nude the entire time. I think they might have gone up to the dunes to get some alone time since the disappeared for awhile. <br><br>Around 3 PM walked up off the beach to a clearing where the heli was waiting for us. It didn’t take long until we arrived at Porto Cristo.
Colònia de Sant Jordi, Balearic Islands, Spain mylifesjourney... speak no English. We have a great dinner and some nice (and inexpensive) wine. The owners are from Argentina so I discuss my trip to South America with them. <br><br>We head out to the main bar/club street. My back is killing me. Every step is painful but I try to put it out of my mind. The area along the harbor has a good café crowd but the bars are empty. We finally go into one at 12. Within 30 minutes there is a good crowd. Almost all ...
Palma, Balearic Islands, Spain and Canary Islands will.travellerBreakfast is provided at the hostel. Coffee, juice, toast and cereal (cornflakes or cocoa puffs). It serves the purpose. <br><br>I go to the Palma city center (20 minutes by bus). The historic area is OK. Cathedral is beautiful and there is a Moorish castle. Most of the city lacks character. So, this is pretty much a beach island although I understand there are some nice hikes in its more remote hills. <br><br>A ...
Palma, Balearic Islands, Spain and Canary Islands will.traveller... day, I have the same problem. The simple reboot does not work. After giving it a day of recovery, using the AC charger, it starts up. I really thought it was gone and it still may go at any time. I go through everything I can think of on diagnostics, reinstalling software … It behaves from now. <br><br>I arrive in Mallorca without a hotel reservation. I have been unable to locate any hostels. Some availability of high-priced hotels in an emergency. In much of Europe, there ...
