Looking for great travel tips on hidden gems for Arrecife? Many Lanzarote visitors miss the island´s capital which is full of hidden gems. The Saturday Market is THE opportunity to do Arrecife like locals do. I visited the market in the historic centre at San Ginés area and it was fabulous: stalls are situated in the streets from Calle León y Castillo (so-called Calle Real) to the plaza Las ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel THB Flora Puerto Del Carmen

    Top marks to Flora.

    from Capital

Just returned from a two week stay in the Flora apartments. We found this complex very clean, well maintained and the staff all very helpful during our stay.

The entertainment staff,( Pablo and Josh) work hard and succeed to keep the pool area a lively place with plenty of activities for everyone. If you are going with children it's a perfect choice as they're well catered for by the team.

If you're self catering you may feel you could do with another small pot and frying pan and the downstairs apartments could do with window bars on the bedrooms.not that it was ever a problem. That said, they were our only small obsevations. The hill from the town to the apartments seemed bad the first couple of walks but by the end of a couple of days was no problem.

I'd recommend these apartments to couples and young families.

    Flora Resort - Good choice

We have just returned from 10 day holiday staying in Flora II (self catering) - lovely holiday, apartments very clean and staff really nice. The infamous hill not so bad and we're a couple of heavyweights, although we only walked down! - taxi back from Puerto del Carman 2 euros. Very impressed with Flora and will certainly return. Only minus was it was very hot and no air con but the upside was beds were very comfy.

    Go there!

We stayed at the flora apartments on the 6th of september, the place itself is spotless and the maids cleaned every day(but werent pushy or annoying),it has 2 pools, adult and child and its own supermarket and two bars, the staff are fantastic, especially the two guys that run the kids club, one spoted that our 6 year old was adhd and did everything he could to have her join in.I cant understand the 2 star rating and id recommend it to anyone, were going back next year!.

    Fantastic

    from anonymous

Myself, partner and 2 children went to the Flora Apartments for 1 week at the end of August. The accommodation was of a very high standard, fantastic value for money. Staff are very friendly and the 2 guys who did the kids club and entertainment were fantastic, made everyone feel very welcome and made an effort to get to know eveyone by name. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, especially families. Great value for money and deserves more than a 2 star rating.

    Loved the place

the flora appartments were of the highest standard.

the childrens club was excellant, and the people who run the club are also very good with the club.

the bar and the food is up to the very highest quality. really the flora appartments i would reccomend to anyine and i myself would stay there again.

    Brilliant

    from anonymous

The flora apartments are great we stayed in the hotel part but even if you were over the road it would not be a problem we were a bit concerned when we realised there was a tunnel crossing the road but i was so clean and well decorated you would never realise you were actually going through a tunnel.

Just a short taxi ride away to all the night life although if you go out the back entrance up the hill there is a lovely resturant called marios where they do the best pizza ever and a few little pubs.

The hill was a bit of a problem but then taqxis are so cheap there is no need to walk.

All in all fantastic apartments very clean and staff so freindly would definatley go again.

    Loved the Flora

Excellent apartments, great for families with younger children, plenty of kids entertaiment provided by Pablo & Josh. Our kids had a wonderful time in the kids club and also the pool. Our apartment was positioned by the playground which the kids thought was great. The only downfall was the steep hill down to the town. OK going down, but awful coming back up.

Would recommend the purple turtle for eating out, we had some lovely meals there, they have decent entertainment as well, we spent most of our nights there or around the Flora complex for their entertainment which wasn't bad.

Would definetly go back again in the future.

    Brilliant

Went to the Flora last july and it was brilliant. The facilities are great as there id two parts of the building. The hotel part and the apartments part. We where in the apartments side of the hotel which was the more quiter side. Were as the hotel side is more lively more for families and this is where everything goes on. The hotel manager is great also and so is all the staff. The hotel is very clean as our room was cleaned every day. Great place to go.

    Our FLora experience

    from anonymous

Being stupid we got a taxi to the night life every day then we realised it was around the corner !!!! The Flora apartments were lovely, when we turned up we were scared coz they sent us across the road....but there was a tunnel !! Lanzarote is fab, make sure you go to titos club its an experience you will never forget....and if you get a chance go on the catamaran day trip it was amazing. all in all a great holiday apart from it was sept 11th and we were very scared to fly home.
