... we can add to the blog during and after our trip.

As regards our Romanian holiday we have booked our accommodation, a real mixture of smart(ish) hotels, wayside B&Bs and self catering. We have the outline of a route-around 4000 kms in total taking us over the Transalpina and the Transfagarasan via a few castles all the way to the Danube Delta on the Black Sea and back via the Iron Gate Gorge,Belgrade and Zargreb.

The drivers are considerate, stop for pedestrians, never speed, pull over if there is not enough room. Unlike the Italian where it is a competition for who has the biggest vehicle or balls! Every square cm is so organized, even men, the men wearing their leather pants and funny little hats are immaculate.

So we walked for an hour of which half of it was climbing up a steep hill on a winding road. ( that's all I am going to say). We walked along the fast flowing river, then along a very fast flowing creek going down hill and the trees became very tall and at points we could see over them. ...
