... a bit restless so made a cup of tea and read a little to the sound of birdsong, the sea lapping against the shore and a boat chugging across the bay. I soon turned over and went back to a sound sleep. ... walking through the streets at 22:00 hardly a sound.
I'm fascinated by the fact that time has stood still in these places while every Irish village and town has been ravaged by modernity (and maybe back again!) these places seem timeless, Mary and I had our honeymoon in Greece in 1981 and I can picture every street in Paros/Ios and even Santorini. ... hotel to shower and eat dinner, which was delicious. Overall, Saturday was a great day.

We still had Sunday morning and afternoon in Montanejos. Our last activity would be white water rafting! This was my favorite part of the trip. A city that is off-the-beaten track for cruises but has an interesting downtown core.


However the area is better known for its beaches that collectively are known as the Costa Azahar.




FYI - Castellon is the ceramic center of Spain with over 200 factories in the area.
