    As regards our Romanian holiday we have booked our accommodation, a real mixture of smart(ish) hotels, wayside B&Bs and self catering. We have the outline of a route-around 4000 kms in total taking us over the Transalpina and the Transfagarasan via a few castles all the way to the Danube Delta on the Black Sea and back via the Iron Gate Gorge,Belgrade and Zargreb.

    Which I did in the first week. Some via Facebook may have heard about Dubrovnik but I have now time to tell about how wonderful it was. A long flight , adjusted to heat, had a day with two others before the large group arrived from Turkey.
