Today is the day that I finally get to go on a cruise!!! This is fulfilling a dream for me, but my husband is not what you would call thrilled. Oh well, he will learn to love it. We finished packing when we got up and then said goodbye to our wonderful hotel room. Kyle checked out and then we, being the difficult ones who like to save money, …

... without someone to mind my stuff I couldn't get in the water. After I'd walked around for a while I got the metro home and made myself a late lunch at the hostel, and then spent the afternoon organising future travel plans and reading in the cool. The agenda for the rest of the week: we have mandatory seminars and activities that we have to attend and then our Spanish class starts Thursday while the rest of our classes don't start until Monday. So I will keep you updated on how that goes. Overall, it was a good day... just very tiring. Hopefully I won't be as jet-lagged tomorrow!

... had a quick trip to the Port. Barcelona has built a fantastic large and modern cruise ship
port, very close to the bottom of Las Ramblas. Our boarding as quick and by 1 we were eating on the pool
deck. We then got our rooms 783
and 784 – a real treat, right off the back with huge decks (about 2.5 times the
size of the normal decks. The
rooms are larger with 2 TVs, great for the kids. They are ...
