The day started well enough with a nice walk along the beach, lunch in a beachside restaurant over looking the harbour... After lunch a few more beers in a couple of different bars and it was late afternoon, Linda and Mandy returned with Tia to Herman for the night as Mark, Cani and I powered on into the evening at the Tapas Bar, Beers, Run&Cokes and Bottles of Wine all being consumed... Even the free Tapas they laid on the top ...

... is like an old fashioned lawnmower is used. It has a rubber roller with sharp spikes on it, this is rolled over the olives and they are flicked into a tray on the front. The olives are then tipped into crates to be taken to the mill for pressing. The mill is fascinating….the olives are tipped into a grate in the floor where they are then sorted by a machine which separates the stones and leaves into piles and washes the olives before depositing ...

When we first arrived we were fascinated by the little rocky coves and took loads of pictures, but we had seen online that the water was crystal clear and the water we had seen was cloudy and very churned up. We assumed that these pictures were ‘enhanced’ for the tourist brochures, that was until we saw them again at the end of the week…..wow, what a transformation!! The water was crystal clear ...
