... to try paella. We
ordered seafood paella and it was fantastic. All of the seafood was so fresh,
and while we ate there were various musicians in the street, and it was very
relaxing. After dinner, we went to get Italian gelato, at a place with very
high ratings. It was perhaps even more delicious than the gelato that I had in
Rome. It was the perfect way to end our trip in Alicante. One more day!

Today we travelled south from Coveta Fuma for about 130 kms with our hosts Jan, Garry and Beverly. Cartagena is famous for its Roman ruins. Very were able visit the Casa de la Fortuna or House of Fortune. This house contains the remains of a Roman house of the late first centuryBC, which was abandoned in the late second century AD. ... we could park our car. We made it out of Valencia un harmed and it was an easy drive into Alicante with Jed driving and Steph directing (and me "DJ" ing!) ... that keep occupying my thoughts though; my milage is creeping up and as this is a new bike I need to have the 1 year/9000 mile service completed at the dealers to keep the dealer warranty current, I think I will pass that milage on this trip; The other more niggling thought is how poorly I prepared with regards to clothing.
