We catch up with the group and continue on our way, after a 10 minute continuous ride up a rocky hill we pass a few mountain bikers, why the hell would you pedal up here! I enjoy riding my bike at home but this was rocky as hell and we had engines. They must have been masochists. We moved on the next ...

This time I stay seated a bit longer and change into third before standing up, much better and slowly standing up becomes more sensible if still not comfortable. I'm obviously not standing correctly and putting too much pressure on my hands as I develop what is commonly known as The Death Grip, as lactic acid builds up in my hands and forearms.
