Well after our nite of car park camping which wasn't too bad really, we felt safe enough to sleep with the doors open so did that and get a reasonable nights sleep.. We woke up nice and early and went to check in but unfortunately our pitch was taken so we had to wait a couple of hours. In addition to the food, of course, we had wine, and lots of it. Even the girls got to join in a little. They also served us some of the vermouth they made on their estate. I know ...

... take much inducement to have me sit down and begin relaxing, content in that I would not be dealing with the van again until morning.

The hotel has a small restaurant, which literally only opens when there are guests who ask to eat there. No other restaurants in the town are even open for dinner. The Rieckhoffs attested to the quality of the food, and I had no desire to drive again that day, so we wandered down for dinner around 9:00pm -- when ...
