With Segovia disappearing in our rear vision mirror and the kids jumping out of their skins at the thought of 6 pools with slides and entertainment galore, we headed across Spain towards the north east coast, 1 hour south of Barcelona.
The trip takes 7 hours, but the roads are great and the countryside changes from long dry brown plains, to fertile red earth growing varied crops, to mountains that we cross a few times.

think I'm “cathedraled out”! Jane “did” the cathedral and I
opted for a walk on the old city walls (not possible as it turns out)
and the mandatory cafe con leche. Still, I got on to the town's free
wifi and checked my emails while Jane had her culture fix....

Tarragona, a little way North. We weren't here very long but it was
nice enough. The boss of our campsite took pity on me and let me use
his car wash to get 4000 kilometres of dirt off my motor for no
charge and we had a walk into town ...
