... and I did not bring winter coats. Tyler was kind enough to spoil me for my birthday and buy me and nice coat, but he has gone without for the past few months. I just so happened that one day I was walking to the gym and found a coat. A manīs wool coat, lined with a magenta colored silk, large, fancy buttons... it had Tyler's name all over it. I brought it home and told Tyler I found him a coat next to the trash. It ...
Còrdoba and beyond, Spain mathesonduo... of town to The Palacio Real, which is Spainīs royal palace built by the first Bourbon Kings. It completley dominates the western part of Old Madrid. It is simply gigantic...so much so that photos cannot even do it justice! It took 26 years to build this palace that was designed to impress. Iīve never seen anything like it. The palace was used by the Royal Family until 1931, but is only used for special occasions now. There are over 2000 rooms in the ...
Madrid, Spain and Canary Islands jennmwarren... them I was able to get them to agree (foreign money can always bend some rules ;) ) to accept my application and now I just have to hope that someone won't want to take their seat. I know its not a big chance, but I guess it will work out if its meant to. If NIFT doesn't work out then I still would like to come back to India for at least a year and try and find ...
Palma de Mallorca, Santanyi, Balearic Islands, Spain and Canary Islands skyevdo... an hour if the Canillas Metro stop didn't looked so much like the Canillejas Metro stop. I took us to Canillas, which was still somewhat close to where we wanted to be, but no metro lines quickly connected it to Canillejas. Instead of doing some serious backtracking, we flagged a taxi who took us straight to our hotel. The hotel was huge. To get to our room, we first had to find our section, then our floor, then finally our ...
Madrid, Spain and Canary Islands julianurse... Melissa. She told me she was having a blast down in Costa Rica with all the cute guys. She also said that James Franco was living with her. Why would a famous actor be in a hostel? After talking for nearly two hours, I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee (mmm...caffeine). I didn't know what I would do today. I decided to wander the streets with my amigas. While we ...
Madrid, Spain and Canary Islands adams24... They reminded me of the time we were in Ixtapā... maybe it was Puerto Vallarta... when the waves were three times the size of our bodies and all we could do was go up against them and hope for the best. There were people out there surfing and I thought how much I would love to get out there. I really hope we can make it to a coastal city on the Atlantic; which is one of the reasons we are now going to Portugal. After three days in Madrid we will be making our way to a small town outside ...
Madrid, Spain isaacfitz... men, is that you are at home all day, this may well never have happened previously except on holidays. This is the background to the battle of the dustpans. Arald and his wife are German, but otherwise okay. They live on the end house of a terrace and Susan's balcony looks straight down on them, ideal for observation.. Arald and wife have a cleaning obsession and clean their house to within an inch of its life. Unfortunately this is not enough for Arald and he has to clean the road as ...
Torrejeveja, Spain prbrown... exam until you have passed the written exams.) That meant that instead of relaxing and taking it easy, I kept right on studying. All of the class notes from previous years came out of the box and spread out over the dining-room table. I've reviewed all of them and even re-written some of them. Now I'm going to sort them. Some of the notes will be discarded, either because they represent things I know I won't use or because I have them elsewhere in another form. Some of it I will keep and ...
Madrid, Spain harrellrl... them had rooms, or even beds available. Finally I found this hostel which was located on the 3rd floor of this building (everything in Madrid is above stores or something, so every hostel was on the 2nd or 3rd floors.) I didnīt realize that this hostel had no elevator, but I was so tired I decided to walk to the 3rd floor. What I didnīt realize is that every building in Spain, floor level is considered just that, floor level. So the 3rd floor in Madrid is the 4th floor American ...
Madrid, Spain alexingranada... area where they had a huge flea market. The city streets were blocked off and converted to a huge bazzar... it was packed with people. I also went to Plaza Mayor which is a huge square in the middle of the city where they have alfresco dining areas, entertainment (jugglers, poets etc) and people just taking it easy. So thats Madrid from my point of view... tomorrow im heading to Barcelona, so ill report from there when i can. Hope youīre well. Adios. Pedro!
