... to the station. I sit on the bench and pick away at the ruby red fruit. Pomegranate is similar to sunflower seeds, in that psychologically you are eating, but physically you are consuming so very little.
I arrived in Faro early in the day, located the nearest internet cafe and sent out a flurry of requests to both Couch Surfing and WWOOFing hosts. I wander the streets, hoping to accidentally find the youth ...

Head on to the Cabo de São Vicente (Cape St. Vincent - the southwestern tip of Europe, and considered to be the “world’s end” in the Middle Ages), the trip continues towards Sagres ...
In Albufeira, we went to a Portugese bullfight, not the real deal as in they don't kill the bull, rather they stab them in the back with a bunch of arrows. I thought it was mean, especially the first bull because it was pretty much still a baby and looked scared instead of angry. Jon ...

... was our first choice for somewhere to appreciate said coastline, possibly as we'd been drinking the local brew for the last few weeks and it's noted for its 'end of world feel' (the town not the beer) and inaccessibility (again, the town not...). It was the inaccessibility combined with our lack of time and a gentle reminder that we were on holiday not travelling, that made our mind up for us and we were soon on a high speed tilting train ...
Tavira, Algarve, Portugal warm... discovering a gem of a local restuarant with amazing bbq chicken. 6 euro for dinner!!
The next day to fill in time before departing we looked at the Chapel of Bones, which was built from the bones of the monks from the local cemetary. Over 1200 skulls. Definite goosebumps eh!
... case. Althought the food was plentiful, the battered fish I received reminded me of fish and chips from a box. That evening I enjoyed going for drinks with the girls in my tour and dancing until late at one of Albufeira´s many bars. Once my energy ran out I headed back to the hotel with a lady from the tour. I was fascinated to discover she is an American diplomat stationed in Ireland and her friend who is also on our tour is also a ...
Albufeira, Alentejo, Portugal swints... turn around, and then actually into the golf course the third time around. Dad´s the only one driving as well. I think he might quit soon with me and mom yelling "NO, not that way, turn around" or "Ah, you missed the turnoff" and then dad questioning us every time we tell him which way to go, but it is confusing and I don´t know how to drive standard. So for the most part, you just have to deal with it all. And we get there eventually so ...
