... and then there was Shannon. She was actually the one of the first people I met here in Cordoba, and I remember I accidently called her by another name the day after I met her. That's definitely a mistake I haven't repeated!!! But lets see, a few groups of students ended up grouping together on the train since we were all headed towards the same destination. One word sums up the reason why Cadiz became such a popular destination amongst the ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain vneag... to communicate. We were able to watch Flamingo dancing at the center in town as there was a special performance that night and the star was a young man who grew up in Cadiz and Loly and her husband have known as a child. After the show we went to lunch with Sergio and Oscar their sons. Oscar is older and speaks a little English and looks just like Jon Vaglio. Crazy. That morning both sons were at a casting call for a movie to be made with Tom ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathersToday was the second and last excursion we did through Holland America. Jacqui had wanted to see the Andalusian horse show, and we could also get in a sherry tasting with it!
First off was the tour of the Gonzales Byass winery. I'm not a big fan of the normal sherries, but I love the sweet sherries. And it was cheap. I got a ...
... the way we stopped in Olvera so Mike could get his photo of the village and church tower. We arrived to Nerja very late and couldn't plug in the address in our handy-dandy gps - so we had to call the owner in the UK to give us directions. it was kind of late by the time we got to the house (after midnight). ugh! this was a long, long day! But, we're excited to be at the beach for the next 7 days. Shae can't wait to get her feet wet in the mediterranean.
I'd been to Spain for like a month now and I hadn't seen the sea yet, so I decided to change things and get a bit of suntan. I called up 3 friends, we packed ourselves to a comfortable train and after an hour or so we got off in Cadiz, an important harbour and a really nice city on the Costa de la Luz.
Although I went there for the first time in February, it was so warm that I could stay in the swimsuit and survive. We started with a cheerful visit in a ...
... Although hostal world advertised the hostal to be in ronda it was infact in a nearby village of cartajima. After hours of u-turns and toll roads and mistakes reading the map we finally arrived far after we told to inn keeper we would be there. The hostal was adorable in the small and gorgeous village. Only about 150 peopel live there. By the time we got there our alcoholic/hilarious/english inn keeper, Boss, was already drunk and had prepared us an amazing meal of paella ...
Cádiz, Spain verow... t even remember going up the steps-I bounded up them, taking them three or four at a time and came barreling through the door, breathless. I got inside, they asked me name, I gave it to them, and they handed me two tickets, just like that. So we all got on the 1 train for the forth time that day and went back to Camp Nou. We got there a little late, due to circumstances which I will skip over here, but we caught a taxi to get to the stadium, and I literally shivered when I heard ...
