... and the Caribbean coast has dry season this month. Instead of Monte Verde and Manuel Antonio (in the rain) we are going to venture down to Puerto Viejo, a Jamaican influenced beach resort for 6 days, setting off tomorrow, then have 9 days in Tortuguero with the turtles before the last night in San Jose. Hopefully there'll be plenty to do in these villages and enough to keep us busy, I also hope the weather is better!

... room service and they arrived seconds after I replaced the phone on it's hook.

Except that I have been kicked off the zip-line trip because of my durn wrist and weakened hand. Damn!! Still, we have some fun excursions to look forward to. Tomorrow we will be in Nicaragua. Then there is the Marine Wildlife Safari and also a Wildlife Boat Trip on a river in the rainforest. Some coming attractions!

We ordered dinner in our room this evening.

... through the overhead trees. We loaded up the van and made our way back to the church for lunch. We had salad, torta de carne (wonderfully seasoned meat patties), pineapple, and green tea to drink. After lunch, it was time to get to work! We sprayed the outside of the church office building and scrubbed it clean with brooms. ... me and did my best to get some pictures, easier said than done when you bouncing up and down everywhere but hopefully I managed to get a few worthwhile shots. Halfway through the trip we had a break where we got fed some pineapple and an opportunity to stretch our legs. It became apparent quite quickly that we would all be a little saddle sore for a few days afterwards but it was definitely worth it.
