Saturday was carnival day in Oviedo. Here they celebrate carnaval a week later than everywhere else so that people can go to the carnivals in Avilés and Gijón the weekend before. ... so it was really sad on Monday. We learned Christmas words Monday, and then they drew pictures that went with the words. Their drawings were so cute! Before I left, each student came up to me and said "This is for you. Thank you very much." Maria, the teacher, had to help them a little but it was so cute! Each of them drew me a picture ...
