To The Volcano
... to walk up the little trail, but lots of folks did. The view was great. When we left the condo it was about 25 degrees, at the summit it was about 6 degrees and windy. The volcano was 2355 meters.
In some places you can see where they must have just pushed the lava rock out of the way to build the road straight through it. It other photos you can see strange formations in the distance which have been named, similar to the mountains ...
More Sun and Hills
Last night we went over to the pool area and took some sunset shots. They turned out pretty cool. We didn't do much else last night except hang out and read.
Today we headed back down the hill to the little water pools that they have at the bottom of the hill. They made a small pool in amoungst the lava flow. It was quite nice. The water was warm and the lave rocks were quite slippery. The walk was straight down and straight up again. ...
Up Hill Both Ways - Really !!
... br> On the beach there was a sign with loads of information. It reported the temperature of the sand, water and air. It also indicated wind speed, direction and tide table. As you can see the black sand was already at 42 degrees. I can't imagine when it is really hot here how bad it must be on the beaches.
