Mexican beatiful beaches

We will post trip information here as soon as it starts. For 2010, we will continue planning the project and look for Sponsors that are willing to invest and support the Project. All indications in that regard is ...

Eeeuwww!!!!

... beach. Also got pestered to death by guys offering taxi rides and trips. Got so fed up so came back to ship for lunch and to spend time on pool deck.

Didnt go to see the cliff divers - just didnt feel interested in watching people jump into the water no matter how spectacular they keep saying it is.

Still enjoying life on board. There ...

Rest and Relaxation

Traveling 246 nautical miles northwest from Huatulco, Mexico, we come to the glitter and glamour of Acapulco, Mexico. Acapulco is known for its beauty. Its world-famous beaches offer up the sun and surf for different agendas, whether you're in the mood for exhilaration or serenity.

We chose the serenity path and spent the day at a private resort (Fairmont Pierre Marques Hotel and Resort). We could have chosen the Cliff ...

Another SEA DAY!

... I really would want (although I did spy a pair of binoculars) and I played the casino for a short while, with no luck.

Michael worked out, of course, and pretty much did the same as I. We briefly caught up with Rachel, Seth and Aleah on Skype late in the afternoon, and he did go to the movie "The Proposal" in a crowded theater. I've seen it three times, so there was no need for me to stay and take up a seat.

Of note though has been the ...

short notes of the day

... were a total of 8 divers. In this group of divers the youngest
was 14 and the oldest was in his 50's.
Wow what a way to make a living,
Then back to the ship to cast off at 6pm.
The weather was hot and humid about 92 degrees.
A nice refreshing dip in the pool was a great way to cool off.

getting ready for the day.

... br>The history of Acapulco (per the tour book), is a city of about 700,000 people. This became
a major port back in the 1500's due to the arrival of Hernan Cortez,
which at that time many treasures were shipped to Mexico City and on to Spain. After World War 2 this became a favorite
vacation spot.More to come!

The museums, the bordom, the welcome farewell

... because I didn´t meet any other person during my three days there that I really could converse with.
Friday I went around passing empty bars until it started to rain, then I happily retired to my room. I went to explore the city Saturday, determined to find some cool people to do some serious drink with that night. Passed the time drinking pina colada by the beach until nightfall. I continued my hunt for English ...

Don't stay at Departamentos Evaro + more trash

... we've gone to the immigration office 6 times and finally got a 6 months visa and paid a big fine, is that we are real Mexican experts and should become counsellors. We go through all ****** possible stuff, but hey, now we know and can say, we know what you need to do! One real sad thing that always blows my mind is the carelessness of Mexicans about trash. Wherever you go, it can be the nicest spot taken out from a beautiful landscape picture book, sure enough in at least one corner ...

Totally redeemed!

... here, it's a full-on downpour of Noah's Ark proportions! And similar to LA, all hell breaks loose...traffic is terrible, cars are off the side of the road, there are foot-high mud-flows across the road...and the 100 meter long lakes of brown water you have to cross...those are eye openers! It's rained every day on us since we left Puerto Vallarta...I guess we signed up for this when we departed in the height of the rainy ...

Yes we are still alive!

... We saw a sea turtle, some big birds, a spiky blow fish, and other dead animals that were washed up on the beach. After two days of playing Chinese checkers at our campsite, we packed up and continued southeast. We drove to a little town called Trocones just south of Playa Azul, and just north of Zihuatanejo. It was a really cute town, or village. Actually it was just one street (dirt road) lined with resorts similar to Rick´s Uncle´s. We even saw a yoga studio. We drove to where ...
