... the St. Martin's church. Since the ages of Christianity, the Muslims, and other religions would not go into the church, so on the steps of the church, is where they were held. This gathering of the 'Valencian Water Tribunal' still meets at 11am on Thursdays, to this day. As it is their tradition, this has been marked by the UNESCO as a part of 'Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity' and the beginnings were from the 9th century.

... for the "metro". Looking for a train station and an underground passage we are left with a tram system that they call the metro. We buy two tickets and when the tram arrives we hop on. After a quick journey we get off and when we try to scan our tickets nothing happens. The gates don’t open. Scan and scan again, nothing. 1) SIESTA.
2) Menu del Dia - a huge 3 course meal available around 2 for super cheap.
3) Festivals, such as tomatina (its worth a google) and Fallas
4) Buying fresh, cheap food at the market, WITHOUT PRESERVATIVES.
5) No tipping!!! Cabs, restaurants, nada
6) Tea EVERYWHERE.
7) Partying until sunrise consistently, and not waking up until 10, accompanied by incredibly cheap alcohol.

... She greeted us with a kiss on each cheek and took us to our apartment in Benimaclet which is about 4km from the city centre. She informed us of some interesting facts about Valencia as we drove
through. They have introduced a new river path after the large damaging flood in 1957, the old river bed is now an eco-park which we plan to walk through tomorrow, it is very close to our place.
