Tuesday had the best weather in terms of sunlight and a little wind, but the temperature did not stray above 6 degrees. We contined our DIY walking tour and headed up Mount Royal. It is a public park on part of the hill on the island. To get to the park we walked through the campus of McGill University which seemed to have departments and faculties spread out all over that part of town. Its been voted as one of the most beautiful uni campuses in the world and it was easy to see ...
... sun is pleasantly warming the students' faces (and hearts, hopefully) my friend and I are walking across the campus. I cannot stop admiring the beautiful morning atmosphere and even the countless construction sites are no disturbance to me. Even though they force us to take longer routes, causing us to be late for class, of course. ...OK, we might have taken too long to get ready in the first place.
... out of this world - a definite highlight of Montreal.
Montreal hosted the Olympics in 1976, which resulted in the construction of the Olympic Stadium. The stadium architecture was quite interesting - it was a giant dome held up by steel cables from a tower, which overlooked the entire city. The skyline and suburbs were clearly visible. Montreal is a very good looking city.
