... just thinking about myself not being able to control a vehicle that I can so easily danger myself and others with. This is something I need to try to get over.
But we got a car! A wine coloured Ford Focus wagon. Packed it full of camping gear and our backpacks. Had a friend join in on this adventure with us, and by end of May 2012, we were off to BC!
and so the first adventure began....
I had a two hour train ride to Montreal today. When I arrived at my hotel I asked for a kettle (gotta have my cuppa) and was told " no use the coffee maker". I said i would prefer a kettle and was informed that they do not have any kettles. So it's out buying cuppa's here. I plan to go to the Old Montreal section tomorrow, but thought I would check it out today and get a cuppa. They still have ...
... A shop girl came up to us and said "So you are from London?" I was a little confused and then when she realised this she pointed to my t-shirt! They were really keen to talk to us and ask us if we had been to the Oakley store in Covent Garden and they were excited when we said we had. I think we made their evening as we were someone 'exotic’ to talk to!
The far end of Rue St Catherine, around Rue Crescent is much nicer with a more relaxed ...

I was scheduled to leave Montreal in the morning on the 28th for Toronto, specifically for the Metric concert at Niagra-on-the-lake. While I was aware that there was a Jazz festival in Montreal in June - I had no idea it was the biggest Jazz festival in the world - that it was almost completely free and it started tomorrow.
