Just one week after dropping it off, my beautiful ring was back on my finger again and both Steve and I were ecstatic at its shiny return. Lesson learned, this job is not one that such a precious piece of jewelery can withstand its hardships, now I take it off when the job requires manual work.

... in was inevitable. We made it just in time for the free breakfast served in the hostel basement, consisting of bagels, toast and peanut butter, and cereal. Sharing a room with 10 people and only having one shower results in a tight bathroom schedule allowing everyone to use it for a maximum of 5 minutes before the others impatiently start knocking on the door.
