First order of business: Provisions - Off to Jumbo and grocery shopping again.

... isn't what we were expecting. It's a city but it def feels like a city. Really it feels like we're in Edmonton, except with some more interesting old buildings in the old historical area, and that most people don't speak English. Santiago really isn't for us... The flight form BA to Santiago was completely different... The plane was cramped and full, great atmosphere and full of children gymnasts.... The approach into Chile from the air could not have been more of a contrast to Buenos Aires... That was so flat and the ground fertile... Santiago is surrounded by mountains and is arid... Having a local show us around for the next few days was great and allowed us to lazily switch off from using terrible Spanish and city maps to get anywhere.
