Me, Tamara, Carmen, and their grandma spent the past week in Langeoog. It is pretty small island, but it has been so much fun. The island doesn't allow cars so we have to bike everywhere, and it is honestly a nice change. It's very peaceful here and the beach is so beautiful. Yes, it is in the North Sea, so the water was freezing but we still went swimming and had such a great time. I definitely hope to come back and vacation ...

Emden is a sea port on the Northern coast of Germany very close to the Netherlands border.You can actually see the Netherlands on the other side of The Ems Inlet.The countryside is flat and easily water inundated which is why there are many dykes to keep water out and flat cycling tracks beside the dykes.Everyone has bikes. ... Helen & Chris had to set off regardless. They did however abandon their idea of cycling the bridge but instead turned back south towards Amsterdam. I was very impressed with their tenacity as we farewelled them cycling off in the pouring rain. We look forward to perhaps catching up with them again when we cycle down the East Coast of England. They maybe able to cycle with us for a leg of the route.

... various organisations having a stall of eats or drinks or small gifts and it gives them an opportunity to raise money & awareness within the community. There were children’s choirs singing Christmas songs and carols and we had a great afternoon walking around. After a few drinks, you don’t even feel the cold any more!
