After a 22 hour trip, including 9 hours in the Houston airport, I was met by Melo and my comadre Jennifer. After lunch at the Jesuit house where Melo lives we went to the Center of Radio Progreso and ERIC. My fatigue from the trip quickly disappeared as I was the recipient of endless greetings with warm hugs and kisses. Jennifer's mother came by taxi with the baby, my darling god-daughter Sol Alejandra, just so that I could see the baby. Melo had been invited to speak to the ...

... this was off-set by being over the wheel arch.

There were only a handful of people on board, but as usual, we stopped at every hole in the hedge to pick more up on the way. Soon we were fully loaded. Each driver seems to have a team of helpers who help load bags, collect fares and source potential customers. Part of this whole technique and this applies to every driver I have seen in central america is to rev the engine constantly, toot the horn regularly as ...

    ... I can
generally be too nice when it comes to real life.

One example of the guy taking criticism badly was a customer
which complained she’d taken a long and expensive shuttle to reach the lake to
go especially on a tour with them only for the tour guide to not show up and
meant that had to cancel and wasn’t able to do it, only for the owner to let
off a rant, and somehow make out it was that persons fault

    What a tool!
