2 hours in Monaco

ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.

Nice

... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city I´d love to visit once a year minimum.....

Less than 4 weeks to go.....

It is Sunday and very wet and miserable here in Antibes. Quite a change from the glorious day we had yesterday. Ideal for computer work in fact... (Except that then things didn't pan out as planned and it is now Monday)

It wasn't my intention to have an entry before my departure but the response to my initial circular has been so overwhelming that I feel it merited an ...

Boring drive day so here is life in Scooby

... Moochelin star cooking It is my job to drive everywhere and keep Scoobs in good health, in return it is Kim's job to cook and clean... sounds like old school type casting but it works! The food has been great (and so has the driving) Kim has even joked about writing a Cookbook for campervaning. We have a 2 burner stove, griller and oven, as well as a small fridge/freezer and limited storage space, so our food is always super fresh. The day always starts with our ...

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous

... the Contiki group in a local restaurant, followed by some drinking games in a pub! All good fun really. As it was getting quite late (and I need my beauty sleep) I went to bed, whilst Mark took a trip to another casino. He didn't get in until about 3.30am all drunk! He swears he got lost on the way home for an hour but I reckon he was just enjoying himself too much to sleep. He was a bit rough on the journey the following day!

Day Spas, 4 Stars (but no celebs) and Pebbley Bums

... weather back home in Melbourne and looked forward to a top of 18 one of the days whilst staying at the hotel and crossed fingers to hopefully get enough sun to enjoy the pool at our shmance hotel. We were very excited for an ensuite AND a double bed AND one doona AND maybe a bath.... Such luxury!!!

On the friday before our hotel stay, which we had decided would be chill time primarily, we decided to try and get some official sight-seeing time in and ventured out on day trip to ...

Nice... the good life

... that hunger was plaguing us. There was a Doner Kebab (no, not shish kebab) stand on the main street. Everyone ordered one of these huge wraps that had shaved unknown meat with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and white sauce. The wrap was the size of my head, but I consumed it in record time. The Euro Cup was on television, so we dined with that on in the background. Watching it made me feel very European. It was especially neat that it was ...

The French Riviera For My Four Years with Brandon

... Nice we went to the beach, walked up to a look out point and explored the city. The water and the beach in Nice is gorgeous. The water is relatively warm and it is the prettiest shade of blue. Brandon loved swimming in the water! At the lookout point we got to see the beautiful coastline. Nice is unique because there are all of these beautiful old buildings lining its coast and we loved that. Then we walked around and ...

... in the market, but didn't have any. One lady assumed we were Italians. Finally at one of the stalls we were told it was the wrong season. Eventually we did find some dried leaves in a shop Got to the café 5 minutes before the end, we were leading 25-20 then 28-20, AND then the Springboks got the lead, from the sound erupting in the café, there were more South Africans there than Kiwis. We were planning to drive to Saint ...

... show us where to get off on the return trip. Rang for the free pickup which was prompt from the bus stop. Really lucked out with this hostel. After an escorted tour by the receptionist, we had our room upgraded to a city view. We have free internet, free wireless internet, free breakfast, laundry service, meals, bar, a guy who arrives at breakfast to help guests plan their day, organised bungee jumps, ski tours ...
