... like I even applied for... It can be a tad discouraging, but I am just applying for more and more, and I am hoping that out of my several plans, one will work out. ... her birthday was such a blessing! I am also so very pleased that my parents were able to be a part of it.

I have enjoyed so much getting to know each of the members of my family here throughout my trip. It will always hold a special place in my heart. And what a great way to finish this crazy adventure, seeing them all together!

... enough. If our paces are too different, I decided I can easily break away.

The next day went smoothly, we stayed together for the most part, and all was well. I was finally able to take a three hour nap later that night, catching dinner with my new group, followed by drinks (side note: I discovered it's basically impossible not to drink at least four beers a day in Germany.)
