... North into France to Evian. I didn't see anything particularly stunning that makes their water better than anywhere else, but it is a nice town at the foot of the mountains and was worth a visit. Our final day was pretty much a washout, but fortunately our AirBNB guy has a massive TV and so we had a chillout day, catching up on some schooling, playing Monopoly and watching a couple of movies. Next stop, back into France to Champagne. :-)

... and potatoes, with a side of dried meat. Now we're not ones for fondue normally, but this was super delicious - very smooth with a creamy cheese flavor that was not too strong. We loved it. Then we washed it down with Gruyere's famous double cream and raspberries. Say no more! After lunch we toured the castle - took us 70 minutes and it was fascinating. Built in the 1500's it has lovely gardens, a tower you can climb (vertigo), many rooms with period furnishings and museum artifacts, ...

Headed back to the hotel and worked out how to slide white spotted glass doors so we could use the shower and toilet, but glad to only have one night in this confined space! Very comfy though, perhaps the best sleeping we had so far. Unfortunately we had to be up ...
