Arrived in Trivandrum around 2:30pm (our flight was delayed for a few hours) and headed straight to Hilton Garden Inn in downtown area which is the capital of Kerala. Scenery on drive started just like mumbai and evolved into government buildings in a "bustling" city. Still garbage on the ground and smelly (we didn't get an a/c taxi - b/c we didn't think to ask) ...

We also met a welsh lad who was excited to tell us about his quest to try some opium in the next town north simply because his mate said it was (in a welsh accent) 'absolutely brilliant'.
