Bye bye Greek Islands...back to Athens

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 06, 2014

... from the Greek tour will be there and I can go for a day trip down to Pompeii which is the only place in Italy that I still really wanted to see. Boom trip to Rome booked!! Decision made and fight booked at 1am ready to leave the hostel at 7am the next morning to fly at midday. Probably the most spontaneous decision I've ever made (I'm not very adventurous). Got no accommodation booked but I'm sure it will work itself ...

    Paradise beach round 2

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 04, 2014

After 4 hours sleep we managed to make it to the restaurant for brekkie then back to bed for another couple of hours sleep. The plan for today was just chill on the beach and recover from our all nighter. At about midday we dragged ourselves to the beach for swimming and sunbathing. As we got off the bus we could already hear the music pumping and people dancing at the bar in bikinis. It was ...

... had better shaped brows than mine and were perfectly bronzed that once again, Alice and I just looked sloppy.

From here, not much of a plan but looking at the map we knew where we wanted to go, 'Paradise Beach', because supposedly this is where the action takes place...Buses wouldn't be doing transfers to Mykonos town for another 2 hours...So cab it was and 20Euros later we'd been told...As we waited in the 20m queue in the blazing heat waiting to pluck up the ...

    A Greek Island Escape

I've never really been very good at holidays. I tend to try to see things rather than do little and relax. There isn't a great deal to see and do during the day on the island of Mykonos except lie on the beach or beside the pool and maybe do a little souvenir shopping, so the past few days we have spent in Mykonos forced me to have a proper 'holiday'. In hind sight this was good, as it has allowed me to recharge my batteries, so to speak. We arrived in Mykonos after what felt ...
