... mushroom. Short of a truffle it must be the second best fungi to have with eggs. Coffee at the Maple House German bakery with a few elderly Japanese men seemingly covering local politics (another with his shoes off, feet up nodding off) and some expats, possibly German. Roll on to the Kanazawa Castle Park where a raptor is circling the huge field just below the Kahoku-mon gate. ... around low twenties-after a week in Tokyo that boiling sauna everything seems cold). At times I had the feeling I was in Brussels minus the beer and waffles. Here it was sake and Japanese sweet balls. And might I add we stayed in a hostel! Yes two whole nights! I feel like a true hippie not washing my hair, travelling with a backpack and a 4 year old.
