... City. They only had 2 hours inside so I decided to wait and do it on my own as it's huge. We then got the meal that I had come to China for - Peking duck. It was immense :D so tasty. They did amazing pancakes with the duck and then fried the bones in cumin... Delicious! 9 including beer and so much duck there were leftovers! We had a much needed lie in for the first time in ages, especially as we had had a few beers the night before. We somehow had managed to convince ...

... my card (but luckily it gave me some money first, otherwise I would have been absolutely stuck). I think I should probably leave out the fact that it only took my card because I was being ridiculously absent-minded, and just took too long choosing one of the options ;) Luckily, I bumped into someone who could speak both English and Chinese, so they called the bank for me, and then my teacher at school did the same thing once I got back there. It does make one wonder ...

Please don't say it's last call with flashing red letters if you don't plan on closing the doors for 30v more minutes. Not everyone is always late. Some people actually take you very seriously when you say last call and doors closing.

Unfortunately I don't even have a photo of this as this ...

... br> One heck of a long walk later, we were back at our hotel, working on the blog post, and heading out to grab snacks and water and other assorted sundries at the Wu-Mart (!)

We crashed relatively early but without a nap, and felt like the damn jet lag was finally getting gone! Finally! Tomorrow is the Summer Palace! V. exciting.

More catch-up blog posts coming, everyone!

We have valid and accessible internet! Woot!
