It became a bit of an issue but as we couldn't understand any of the language we just kind of sat and waited for it to blow over, whilst Linda helped diffuse the situation! ... br> From there we went into the Forbidden City, which was a palace and a workplace for the emperors. Normal folk would not be allowed in there. Good thing my group had celebrity friends like Connor and me to get us backstage passes into the city. Inside the walls were the types of buildings you would think of when you thought of Chinese architecture. That is because these buildings were built between 1406 and 1420. Unreal. We walked in and saw the throne of the emperor and ...

... and I was ready to walk home. As I walked home a little boy—maybe 3 or 4—ran to catch up with me and kept pace with my step. His grandfather thought it was quite funny. About
halfway home I sat in the park and watched couples getting their wedding photos taken while teenage boys and a couple of girls were break dancing nearby. All in all, a very pleasant and relaxing afternoon here in Beijing.
