The resort has a good location, quite and peaceful yet walking distance from the center of the town. Good food and good staff. Only if internet was better and free!

... Apparently related to the tides they are more prevelant during the full moon phase (which we are in), especially in this part of the country. We were pretty disappointed but some people have been known to get hundreds of these stings and we do not want to take the chance so close to our long flight home. Oh well , swimming pool it is ...the water in the pool is so hot it feels like pee though ! Lollll

... secluded. The fourth and final stop was something called Day island which you couldn't walk on, but featured some GREAT snorkeling. I even got to have a real life "Finding Nemo" encounter with two clownfish and a sea anemone. The mother and other kids were presumably brutally murdered by a predator weeks prior. Oh, I forgot to mention that was ALSO my first time trying Thai Red Bull, as Jaclyn and I had brought bottles for us ...

... about for whatever reason. Time to make a retreat. Some stars are appearing. With no light pollution the night sky is perfect for stargazing. We missed the full moon on the 19th. We'd forgotten about it, and we were in town, and not on some island party beach, so it wasn't obvious. Early dinner was vegetable fried rice and fried rice with shrimps. Fine, but not that hungry. We're packed up and ready to roll. But ready for bed ...

... experience by far. Remembering the previous year which we had spent together having a posh meal and cocktails at The Living Room in Bristol, that was a brilliant night, but we agreed we were so glad we planned and chose to spend New Year this way. We danced on the beach, drinking until 4.30am. The beach was still very busy at this point and I'm sure Adam would've happily stayed out. I was exhausted, so we made our way back to the resort. What a mindblowing ...

Such a good nights sleep in a decent hotel with a warmish shower with an amazing view as the bathrooms outside. A lovely breakfast cooked by the owners, whatever we wanted with fruit juice, tea and fruit! We chilled for a bit until we were picked up for our trip at 12pm. A pickup truck came and got us from our hotel and took us a short drive away to Elephant Trekking. Our elephant came running down the path with a man on top which took us by surprise! They put a few ...
