Good place to stay but not very lavish

by (2 reviews) Mumbai (Bombay) , India Flag of India

This place was a 3 star hotel . Rooms were nice, clean but our room had no good view.
The resort had a swimming pool which was good for relaxing but the time when we had gone it was raining some of the days so couldn't use the pool much. The entrance lobby was very basic like of any local hotel.
The good thing about the hotel was that it was close to the beach and lot pubs and bars around.
The breakfast had lot of variety but not a very great taste as per Indian standards . Indians specially vegs won't really enjoy the breakfast.
The omelettes what they were making lacked salt and masalas and were half cooked .
Over and above and average place to stay along with your friends .

          Amazing & laidback Krabi

Krabi a very laid back atmosphere. It was quiet hot in the afternoons but pleasant in evenings. Luckily we saw rain as well during our stay. We were staying quiet close to Ao Nang beach. At every corner of Krabi streets in a range of 50 mts each you will find a spa or a massage centre. It looks like one of their main business. Try to bargain while …

... near a big shopping complex. We had only been there a short time when the Belgian couple, Carmen and Gyeroen and their two kids that we met in Penang arrived. They had been looking for a beach to stop at but hadn't found anywhere so they also stopped beside us for the night.

Yesterday, we were heading for Krbi, but decided to take the turn off to Ko Lanta. On the map it looked like there was a bridge, but no, we came over a hill and without ...

No glimmer of recognition, so we said, "We are American." He smiled with acknowledgement and said, "Oh, so you speak Spanish!" LOL. That sure puts the English portion of North and South America into perspective!

... with pretty much the same 60,000 people I spent New Year with to get off the island and get back to normality. So a 3 hour boat, 4 hour bus, 1 hour mini van and we're now tucked up in our hostel back in Ao Nang Krabi with 16 snoring female horror shows (including emma) and I'm awake thinking of ways on how to end it. Great. Happy new year haha!! Could be worse, I could be in the freezing cold.... Happy new year to all my friends and family back home. Love and miss you all ...

... about their travels. We talked to two Americans who rafted in Idaho during the summer and travelled during winter. They had just been trekking in Nepal and were now doing SE Asia. There was a french guy who hadn't been home for two years and a Brazilian girl that had spent five months in India during her 11 month trip. We chatted until the pad Thai guy packed up and then, in an odd turn of events, he began hanging with the backpackers and even performed ...
