Arriving in Ao Nang on Dec 28th meant we had 3 nights to try out the nightlife before determining where we would be spending New Year. At this stage, all the advertising was centred around Dec 28th which fell on the night of a half moon. In Thailand they celebrate both full and half moon nights by having massive parties/raves on the beach and it's …

Today is Saturday 27th, we would be leaving Ko Lanta tomorrow, so we had one final day and night on the island. Overall, our 6 days here have been brilliant. No glimmer of recognition, so we said, "We are American." He smiled with acknowledgement and said, "Oh, so you speak Spanish!" LOL. That sure puts the English portion of North and South America into perspective!

... with pretty much the same 60,000 people I spent New Year with to get off the island and get back to normality. So a 3 hour boat, 4 hour bus, 1 hour mini van and we're now tucked up in our hostel back in Ao Nang Krabi with 16 snoring female horror shows (including emma) and I'm awake thinking of ways on how to end it. Great. Happy new year haha!! Could be worse, I could be in the freezing cold.... Happy new year to all my friends and family back home. Love and miss you all ...
