... way to the old city, where on the awesome Fatahillah square tourists can rent a bike and a big hat and pretend to be a Dutch colonial lady. The colonial Cafe Batavia was our next pit stop from Jakarta madness, and we thought it was only appropriate to order an Old Fashioned in the place where time stood still. After a walk to the old Dutch drawbridge and the harbour, we decided to make our way back to the hotel. Jakarta has many faces - the swanky bougainvillea lined streets of ...

Saturday night us four girls went out again. First stop was sky bar, which is a very posh and expensive bar overlooking the city centre of Jakarta and had amazing views... Of course an occasion we all had to dress up for ...

... in 45 minutes. Including tolls and the cab ride it was only 220,000 rupiah (20 bucks). Anyways, the cab driver dropped us off at pier 15 then a guy came up and asked us where we were going and if we had a ticket. We tried to explain in broken english that we were meeting someone….everything the reservation email had said. Despite that he told us to come with him to pier 6, that's where the boat left from. Since our boat wasn't arriving until 730 we went and ...
