We stayed at Antonia Apartments, which is part of Antonia Hotel, both owned by Lekteris. I cannot speak more highly of this place. Lekteris was waiting for us as we got off the ferry and drove us the 10km to the hotel in Fira. The apartment was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful . To be honest, they made our holiday and if I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!

Located in central Thira, close to bus station and chair lift restaurants etc. No breakfast provided but many places serve excellent breakfast nearby. Free coffee available at any time and free pick up fom ferry anytime. Rooms have large balcony, good bed, safe and fridge. Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

Day 126: The ferry ride to Santorini was amazing once we were sailing past the island, we could see all of the towns sitting on the top of the cliffs and right up against the edge. The cliffs were pretty much vertical and the roads from the ferry ports up to the towns were crazy, very steep and zig zagging all the way up.

It was pitch black outside when the alarm on the phone went. We had turned off the gas, pulled out the electric and parked up the van near the entrance the night before, so no morning cup of tea! We did not want to wake the Aussies sleeping in the camper van next to us, a couple of "chalkies" as they described themselves - primary school …

... feet as the waves crashed into me. A feeling of calmness came over me and I was sooooo happy to have made it to Santorini. I noted that the water temperature was perfect for skinny dipping - which I had never done before, although I made a mental note that I should do that at some point. I started to get sleepy and we walked back to the hostel.

... would be plenty of room and, after all, it was the largest car available on Santorini. We all piled into the Hyundai with Cheryl, Erin and Zach in the back and me up front with George. We sped off like only a crazy Santorini or NASCAR driver could drive.

George was eager to tell us all about his island and he had plenty of questions about America. I asked George about Real estate on Santorini. He told us that new property costs around 1.5 million Euros for a 3000 ...
