Sunset over Santorini

A travel blog entry by travelbugs3

Day 126: The ferry ride to Santorini was amazing once we were sailing past the island, we could see all of the towns sitting on the top of the cliffs and right up against the edge. The cliffs were pretty much vertical and the roads from the ferry ports up to the towns were crazy, very steep and zig zagging all the way up.

When we got to …

Stepping up in Santorini!

It was pitch black outside when the alarm on the phone went. We had turned off the gas, pulled out the electric and parked up the van near the entrance the night before, so no morning cup of tea! We did not want to wake the Aussies sleeping in the camper van next to us, a couple of "chalkies" as they described themselves - primary school …

Santorini Sunsets and Sights.

This is a top pick!

"See you tomorrow and we will take some coffee and I will showa you the mappa" said Listeria who had picked us up from the ferry port of Santorini at 1.00am, and now just given us the key to room 13 at Antonia Hotel.

We wearily climbed the white marble spiral stairs and dropped our packs. The first thing we noticed was we had double …

Sunsets, sunsets, sunsets

We arrived quite late in Santorini and went out for dinner and drinks with the tour group. Where we saw yet another lovely sunset.

The next day we hired a quad bike to see some of the island. After the first 10 mins of me squealing in fear I calmed down a little and promptly got us very very lost. Eventually after about 90 mins, a very …

The Picture Postcard Island (by Lauren)

A travel blog entry by craigandlauren

The white and blue buildings set along the coast are iconic of the Greek Islands, and were characteristic of all the islands we visited. However Santorini is the island where the most breathtaking pictures are taken. The towns built down the sheer cliffs and the long coastline around the lagoon were amazing to see, especially at sunset which we …

We stayed at Antonia Apartments, which is part of Antonia Hotel, both owned by Lekteris. I cannot speak more highly of this place. Lekteris was waiting for us as we got off the ferry and drove us the 10km to the hotel in Fira. The apartment was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful . To be honest, they made our holiday and if I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!
