Water Lilies and so much more

We had a nice breakfast at Hotel de Quebec the next morning, and chatted at length with the friendly couple who had bought the hotel less than a year before. They didn't charge us the 6 Euro for parking (very nice of them), and provided good directions for entering Paris later that day. The sun finally came out for good, as we headed south towards …

"I love Paris in June, what about you...?"

OK - so it was May, not June, but all the same, what a city...! Our day started with a very minor event that had Dad and me (and eventually Mom too) stuck with a major case of silly giggles. Breakfast at the hotel was a small buffet with cereal, french bread and croissants, and an egg-cooker. What am I calling an egg-cooker, you ask? If I knew the …

Last day, already...

On this, the last day of our trip to France together, my parents and I chose to make the best of our remaining time in Paris by exploring more of the city and visiting sites we had not seen before. Fresh from our visit to Giverny, Mom and I (not so much Dad...) wanted to see the Musée de l'Orangerie, located in the Jardin des Tuileries, and home to …

... ride, we had been moved four times, at all times the porters refusing to help us with our luggage because they were "too busy." I can't tell you how many times we fell and tripped while carrying all this luggage while the train was moving at high speed. Well, now at least we had heat, electric and lights - and we could see exactly how dirty the upholstery in the room was. It hadn't been cleaned in a good long time. At least we were given clean sheets, which ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Antin Trinite Paris

    Very average

    from anonymous

Just returned from visit to Paris. Stayed in the Hotel Antin Trinite for 3 very uncomfortable nights. We were on the top floor and the room got incredibly hot and stuffy even with window open and a fan on. Room looked very tatty, bathroom very small and needed refurbishing. One member of staff was very unfriendly, rest were okay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially if visiting Paris in the summer.

    Very small

    from anonymous

rooms are very very small - very inconvenient in that regard - the toilets are basic not very clean but u can get by - close to the trains (Metro and RER) and shopping - the place is deserted after 8 PM or so...at other times it is lively... restaurant nearby are not very good...expensive though considering the quality...

    Location is the biggest perk!!

    from anonymous

I recently returned from paris and stayed at this hotel. The good thing about this hotel is the location. There are several metro lines accessible and its directly behind the galleries lafayette.I was looking forward to it, but was disappointed when I got there. Based on reviews that I did prior to my trip, I expected a small little hotel with very helpful attendants. The hotel attendants were not that helpful and were only semi friendly. They were not going out of the way to help you or provide suggestions. The rooms were okay as far as cleanliness, but the sheets were not changed daily (maybe every other day) only the bed was made up and the toiled paper was not filled and I had to call down and have the attendant bring me some, which was a problem. The breakfast was okay, but I found out to my displeasure it was not included in my package, and had I known that, I would have went out each morning as 10 Euros was extermely overpriced for what they had. If I had to do it over, I would stay somewhere else.

    Location and service

    from anonymous

I have been to Paris and stayed at the Antin Trinite. The location of the hotel was not bad because it was just behind Galerie La Fayette and Le Printemps.

However the breakfast was terrible. The pastries were cold and once I was sitting opposite the kitchen, I saw one of the employees picking food from a tray of pastries. The employees are not very helpful when I experienced problems with a touring agency whose name commenced with T.... That agency has been recommended by the hotel director even though the service is terrible. I booked transport with that agency to bring me to Disneyland and back to the hotel. I was overcharged and worse, the driver did not come to pick me up from Disneyland. I had to take a cab back to the hotel. The price I was charged was in excess of 110 Euros. I called the hotel to ask for help, but the person in charge, a Mrs B... did not want to get involved. I later heard that she had a financial gain when recommending tourist to that agency. I was very disappointed.

I would urge all tourists who are thinking of staying at Antin Trinite to think twice.

It appears the breakfast menu varies depending on the time you go for breakfast.

I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and during my stay, the bedsheets were not changed and the bed was not made properly.

I would conclude by saying that this hotel may be a 2-star one but in my opinion, it is worth only 1-star.

    Great Place

    from anonymous

I stayed at the Antin Trinite in JUly 2001. The Location was great. There are plenty of grocery stores and 2 major department stores near by. It is also very close to the airport bus drop off. The staff there was excellent. I was staying alone and I had some problems with my knees. I just asked the man at the front desk where the nearest doctor or hospital would be and he insisted he would take me. I said I could take a cab but there was one nearby so he helped me hobble there. The room is nice and the bathroom is very small but it was nice to have your own bathroom. I would recommend this hotel and have to friends.

    Simply Wonderful!

    from anonymous

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times during my travels in Europe and simply love it! The staff are VERY friendly, the hotel itself and their rooms are very clean. Great breakfast each morning (except the warm milk). The elevator is very small (2 people is a tight fit), and the rooms are very nice with lots of room. I've been upgraded as well when then noticed I was back for the 3rd time - their suite is amazing! I will be back for sure!

    Good Location

    from Indielynx

Paris is expensive but this hotel is a good find. It is located behing Galleries Lafayette and very close to the Opera and the Louvre. The metro is very close and there are many reasonable cafes close by. The room was clean and of a decent size and staff friendly. This isn't the George V but who can afford that? A good base to explore Paris.

    Nice place to stay...but small

    from anonymous

we stayed at the hotel antin trinitie in march & it was a pleasant place to stay, the staff are friendly & helpfull, the hotel is just around the corner from the metro access . the breakfast was all you can eat & plenty on offer. the rooms very basic & very small but if your out all day doing the sights then all you need is your bed to sleep on .

    Location, location, location

    from anonymous

As a 45th birthday treat I took my husband to Paris for a weekend (from London - not from Australia!!!) and found this exquisite hotel - small room but adequate, great location and a very generous breakfast buffet.

We used the Airport bus (only 3 blocks form the hotel) Hotel is highly recommended.

    Good Value

    from anonymous

We always stay at the Antin Trinite whenever we go to Paris. It's a friendly hotel in a great location. It's right behind the main shopping boulevard and L'Opera. It's also very close to the Metro and major bus routes. The rooms are fairly basic but most are a good size and they're all clean. The breakfast is again quite basic and it's self-service but there's plenty to eat to set you up for the day.The staff (who all speak great English) are very helpful and have a superb knowledge or nearby restaurants, shops and other facilities. There's lots of leaflets too with a host of information about Paris, and maps etc which you can help yourself to at reception. We've always had a very positive experience when staying at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to the budget traveller. It's not the height of luxury but it's an excellent base with fantastic staff. I couldn't imagine going to Paris and staying anywhere else.
