... in fact if we take a step back, it's often the simple things and the basics that can make us happy. Spending time with the kids, playing in make believe cubby houses, making games out of what we have around us and enjoying it too, is what it's all about. This was a visiting day: we saw some of Monika's relatives. Later in the afternoon we drove about 125 miles to her home town of Chocen to stay with her parents until Sunday. The weather keeps getting hotter and the forecast is hotter still!

Further down we found a small trendy cafe where we stopped for a latte and snack. Apparently owned by a couple from Warsaw, they spend every weekend ...

Hello from the Czech Republic. Yesterday went to plan, albeit taking longer to drive to our campsite than planned. Departed Chemnitz at 10am yesterday and travelled to the Czech border, stopping for some Cocaine and Cannabis when we got there (energy drinks - honest!) The contrast from Germany to Czech was immediately apparent, with abandoned road building projects and poorly maintained road surfaces - truly I will not complain again about British roads (for a week or ...

Had a lovely night being very well looked after as the only guests in an out of season ski hotel (we think!), Penzion Hermanice. The owner has bent over backwards for us and were very grateful! Off to cross the border into Poland shortly, then 'only' about 150 miles ...
