    ... in more of a friendly teasing way). I happened to stay at Eleanora's parent's place that night as it was somewhat outside of Milan and we stayed out past the time the Metro ran, they even let me have my own bed and her dad slept on the couch, they were very nice hosts!

    The next day I had a small breakfast and was dropped off at the metro station so that I could check out of my hostel on time and then I was off to Florence!

    ... roof. It is still a bit humid and so little day pack only or not, I sweat. The views from the roof are nice but it is half closed for renovation work. The main spire is also covered in scaffolding except for the gold Madonna statue on top. Carol reads that they have been restoring parts of the roof for six years and it has cost over 70 million Euros.
