Day 10: Florence

On our way there, we walked through a little alleyway where school children were being let out for the day and families were there picking them up (no one was in a car; everyone walked or rode bikes). Day 60 - Pinzani sheep cheese factory

It was explained that when you eat cheese and salami you should take it out of the fridge at least 2-3 hours before you eat it to get the full effect of the aroma and flavour.
After that was explained we began smelling the cheese and you could certainly detect different aromas coming for each.

Day 42 - Deiva Marina - Casole d Elsa (via Pisa)

The Statue of David
I had little planned for my third day of exploring Florence. The cathedral wasn't open the first time I visited it, so I wanted to go back and make sure I didn't miss anything. But the main and most anticipated part of my day was entering the Galleria dell'Accedemia where the famous and very real Statue of David was held. I had read online that waiting in line to get into this museum was horrendous, so I made sure to go there first.
